It all began with a simple invitation.
David Colwell, the visionary behind CCI, was approached by a friend who asked him to join a short-term mission trip to Mexico. Interestingly enough, David wasn't initially enthusiastic about the idea. He had his reservations about the purpose and impact of missions. He wondered what they were truly all about and what tangible outcomes they could achieve.
However, with a certain amount of trepidation, David decided to accept the invitation and embarked on his very first mission trip adventure. The experience was transformative. His encounters with local villagers, as well as the profound work the Holy Spirit began in his heart through his service activities, left an indelible mark. When David returned home, he was a changed man. This transformation led to the birth of Christian Charters, Incorporated.
Today, 27 years later, CCI stands as an international missions organization with a steadfast commitment to activating communities and volunteers to live out their Kingdom purpose!
